Ingredients: 1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained; 3 tablespoons olive oil; 1 medium onion, chopped; 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon; 1 teaspoon ground cardamom; 1/2 inch gingerroot, peeled & chopped; 4 garlic cloves, chopped; 1 teaspoon ground red pepper; 1 teaspoon ground coriander; 1 teaspoon garam masala; 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric; 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes; 2 green chilies, chopped; 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped; 3/4 cup water

1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
¹⁄₂ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
¹⁄₂ inch gingerroot, peeled & chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon garam masala
¹⁄₂ teaspoon ground turmeric
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 green chilies, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
³⁄₄ cup water

directions

Saute onion in oil for 2-3 minutes Add cinnamon & next 3 ingredients & cook for 1 minute Add ground red pepper & next 7 ingredients. Stir & add beans. Boil, reduce heat, & simmer for 20 minutes.
