Quick Caesar Salad

"This is the salad recipe that goes with Caesar Salad Mix. The recipe comes from The Canadian Living Christmas Book. The Zaar menu won't let me us Caesar Salad Mix as an ingredient so I've called it 'seasoning'. Click on this link for the Caesar Salad Mix recipe: recipe#403222"

• Ingredients: 7
• Serves: 6-8

ingredients

• 1⁄3 cup vegetable oil
• 1⁄4 cup seasoning (Caesar Salad Mix)
• 3 tablespoons lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
• 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
• 12 cups romaine lettuce, torn
• crouton (optional)

directions

1. Whisk all ingredients except lettuce together.
2. Toss with lettuce in a salad bowl.
3. Add croutons, if desired.

Was at the farmers' market this morning and got some fresh lettuce and used it even though it wasn't romaine, but boy, was this some tasty Caesar salad! Loved the lemon in the mix! made for SWT2019

Wow! This is a terrific Caesar salad, and so is the seasoning mix! Ten stars if possible. DH and I are Caesar purists, so the lack of an egg was a concern for us. BUT, the mayo give is that silky feel (because it has...eggs!) and the end result has a great mouthfeel. We loved it! This would be a great salad to serve at a gathering where people don't want to chance raw egg. I love Caesar's Salad, and this one is very good. The key to getting the best flavor from this salad is to use the accompanying Caesar Salad Mix that's included in the ingredient list (which is Recipe #403222). It's such a delightful salad. I served it with Chicken with Mushroom Marsala Sauce and green beans, and it was great. Thanks for sharing your recipe(s), Dreamer! Made for the World Tour 2019 (Italy).

Made this as written except for cutting in half. I did make the Caesar Salad Mix#403222 which I think is very important to use. What a tasty salad and one that will be used often. Made for Spring PAC 2011.
