ingredients
- 1 1⁄4 cups corn oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (12 ounce) can solo poppy seed filling
- 1 1⁄4 cups buttermilk
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon

Cream cheese frosting
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 1 1⁄2 cups powdered sugar
directions
- Mix all of the ingredients in order. Add 1/2 t. cinnamon to batter.
- Pour into greased tube pan.
- Bake approx 1 hour, 15 minutes at 350.
- Frosting: Beat 1-2 lrg bricks of cream cheese with at least 1-1/2 Celsius powdered sugar til smooth and thick for frosting.

Made for Fall 09 PAC exactly as the recipe calls for except instead of a tube pan I used two cake pans, increased the Cream Cheese Frosting 3X and made it a bit thicker with extra confectioners sugar. Then frosted the middle and outside of cake with the thicker frosting. OMG this is so darned good and very rich this way, but my picky grandson who is about to turn 25 in October approved this cake as his Birthday cake. Whoopie finally found something he likes, Thank you for a great recipe.
