Pasta E Piselli (Macaroni and Peas)

"This is the authentic Italian version of this dish as per my Nonna Theresa. It was my go to comfort food growing up and I still love it at 65! Be sure to use the liquid that comes with the peas or it won't be the same. Enjoy!"

  • Saute onion in oil until transparent.
  • Add peas, liquid and seasonings and simmer for 5 minute.
  • Meanwhile, cook pasta in 4 qts salted water until al dente and drain.
  • Add pasta to pea mixture and mix well. Sprinkle with some grated Parmesian if desired.
  • ENJOY!
