Love this recipe. Only gave 3 stars because it calls for WAY too much salt. As an avid turkey lover, it's basically the only meat I will buy, salt is necessary... But when we sat down to eat dinner after I had slaved in the kitchen we couldn't hardly eat them as they were too salty. I'd seriously only recommend 1/2 tablespoon instead of 2. Maybe it was a typo? I don't know but, I hope others see this before they ruin their delicious turkey burgers!

This was the most awesome recipe. The apples and veggies made the burgers moist enough to cook on our charcoal grill and still be juicy. The chutney gave them a hint of sweetness that we loved. For a special treat, I served them on Hawaiian buns with honey mustard dressing. They were a big hit with teens.

No need to persuade me! This is the BEST turkey burger recipe - Oprah's advice was spot on, as usual. Ha! I only made one SIMPLE change - I used Golden Delicious apples instead of Granny Smith. I wanted a little bit more sweet to blend in with the rest of the flavors. These were TO-DIE-FOR!!! I cut the recipe in half (since it was just DH and I) and I ate 3 out of 4. No, not in the same sitting, but I just couldn't get enough. DH was stuck with peanut butter and banana sandwhiches for lunch the following couple of days, because I wasn't willing to give up the leftovers. LoL!

Born and raised in Michigan but feel like a southern gal at heart. My parents were raised in Tennessee. I love it in the south, except the heat and chiggers. LOL Am married and have one spoiled teenage son and a sweet little shaggy humane society rescue named Scotty. Edit/also a little spitfire Pomeranian named Callie. I have worked retail for all my adult life. Edit/early retirement! I am trying to learn to cook and am addicted to ZAAR. I also love doing genealogy. It is so exciting to find new leaves on the family tree. We were always told our ancestors were English and Scottish, but it seems we have more Irish than anything else. We are fortunate enough to have had a gggggggrandfather that kept a diary. A lot of information from the 1700's in his 100 page diary. We were alway told that my Dad's ggrandmother was an American Indian but can't find anything to verify this. (Although we though some looked native american) It's alway's exciting to find long lost relatives.
One of my pet peeves is people that think it's OK to Say what I think without consideration for anyone else's feelings.
