This is one of the best soups I ever made and deffinitely the tastiess bean soup. I didnt want to walk to the parsley in the dark so I substitued Italian Seasoning, I used the bone and some meat from a smoked ham I cooked and since my crockpot doesnt work well I made the ham stock, took the meat off the bone, soaked the beans overnight using its water in the stock too and cooked it on top of the stove. Brought to a boil then turned to a simmer for 2 1/2 hours. Deffinitely a number one comfort food, had supper, 2 lunches and 2 bags in the freezer.
