Mom's Easy Country Pate (Food Processor)

This comes from a cookbook that my mom got with her food processor, over 35 years ago. the cookbook is long gone -- and mom made a few changes to the recipe, anyway. It's better the next day, so great to make ahead for a cocktail party or special occastion. Leftovers make excellent sandwiches.

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Add onion, garlic, poultry and bacon to food processor and process till smooth.
  3. Add remaing ingredients, and process till ham is finely chopped.
  4. Put into oven-safe casserole. Put in oven and bake till meat pulls away from the sides of the casserole and top is browned, about 46 - 60 minutes. if the top is browning too fast, cover loosely with aluminum foil.
  5. Refrigerate untillwell chilled, then cover. Better the next day.
