  • Cut the beef into 1 inch cubes and brown in hot oil on all sides. Lift out and set aside.
  • Saute the onions and garlic in the pan until soft, add tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, bay lead, cloves, sugar, saly and pepper, return the beef to the pan and cover.
  • Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Serve with the boiled spaghetti and sprinkle with grated cheese.

  1. Very very ordinary. I halved the recipe amount of onions, but it was still basically an onion sauce with tomato. The directions don't mentioned the basil - I added it with the other spices.
