These are what I like to call "old school" caramels! From back in the day! :-)
Make and share this Maple Sugar Caramels recipe from Food.com.
- In a medium sized pan, combine all the sugars, corn syrup and cream until sugar dissolves.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until candy thermometer reads 250 degrees F.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in the salt, butter and nuts.
- Pour mixture into a buttered pan and let cool.
- Cut into squares.
