We enjoyed these beans, the seasoning was really good. I reduced the amount of cloves and paprika - the first because it gives me heartburn and the second because I don't care for it. The cumin with the garlic and just a little bit of the other spices and a generous sprinkle of kosher salt was just right for us. I used frozen haricots verts in pace of the fresh beans.   1. Simmer trimmed green beans in salted water for approximately 30-45 minutes until tender. Drain and place in a dish. Place the rest of the ingredients (excluding the almonds) in a pan and cook at a medium heat for 2 minutes while stirring. Next, add the almonds, stirring briefly to coat them. Pour contents of pan over green beans and ensure they are well coated. Serve warm.
