My Jewish mother-in-law's recipe for noodle pudding. Delicious. I also add 1/2 cup raisins for a sweet touch.
- 3⁄4 lb wide egg noodles
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1⁄2 cup cream cheese (1/4 pound)
- Cook noodles in boiling water 10 minutes. Drain.
- In a large bowl thoroughly mix noodles with the next 9 ingredients.
- Press into a buttered pudding dish. Dot with butter and bake in a 350 degree oven 30 minutes or until brown.
Now this is what I call creamy! I love it! I had some extra raisins from Shavuot and used them. It made for a nice touch.
