I love this recipe because it makes a great base for so many toppings. You could top it with fresh whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a nice lemon icing.

  1. Cream butter and sugar very well. While continuing to mix, add one egg at a time, vanilla, vinegar and the juice of one lemon. Sift together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Fold dry ingredients into wet. After well blended and Lemon zest.
  2. Pour mixture into a greased and floured loaf pan. bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 45 minute.
