Lemon Butter Pound Cake

"I love this recipe because it makes a great base for so many toppings. You could top it with fresh whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a nice lemon icing."

ingredients

• 2 cups sifted flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 cups sugar
• 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter
• 1⁄2 cup salted butter
• 6 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon white vinegar
• 3 tablespoons lemon zest
• 1 lemon (juiced )

directions

1. Cream butter and sugar very well. While continuing to mix, add one egg at a time, vanilla, vinegar and the juice of one lemon. Sift together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Fold dry ingredients into wet. After well blended and Lemon zest.
2. Pour mixture into a greased and floured loaf pan. bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 45 minute.
