this is light and makes wonderful french toast
- 1 cup water, plus
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1⁄4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons dry milk
- 2 teaspoons grated lemons, rind of
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- add all ingredients in this order.
- bake on sweet or basic cycle.
FANTASTIC. My husband has already asked for me to make it again. I made the dough using my bread machine's dough cycle than rolled the dough into rolls. I let them rise in a warm, humid place for 40 min than baked them for 12-15 min at 350 degrees (Thanks Rita for the baking tip) A good accompaniment to any soup.
Thanks to Chia I`m making bread again. It`s been a couple of years since I had the aroma fresh home made bread in my kitchen! I didn`t realize this was a bread machine recipe!(Don`t own one)! I mixed 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon water 1/4 cup honey together. Then put everything else into a food processor while on added the liquid ingredients. Let rise for an hour put into pan did a second rise. Cooked for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Came out wonderful! I think I`ll make bread pudding with the left over or french toast!
