Honey Dressing

ingredients
- 2⁄3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄3 cup strained honey
- 5 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated onion
- 1 cup oil (I use canola)
directions
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add honey,vinegar, lemon juice and onion.
- Pour oil into mixture in a very slow stream while beating constantly with beater.
- Toss on a fresh fruit salad and serve on a bed of fresh mixed greens.

This turned out to be a very thick dressing with too much sweetness. It is similar to a Honey French dressing, but I would eliminate the sugar, as I think the honey made it sweet enough, although I don't know what strained honey is. I just used the stuff from the grocery store. I would also try apple cider vinegar instead of the distilled white vinegar I used. Made for Fall PAC 2008.

<p>I'm currently the manager of a jazz lounge / supper club. I have been married for a little over 12 years. My husband is a blacksmith, yup a real blacksmith. I still enjoy watching him work.
