Cake
- 473.18 ml cake flour
- 473.18 ml sugar
- 236.59 ml boiling water
- 6 egg whites
- 1.64 ml salt
- 2.46 ml cream of tartar
- 9.85 ml baking powder
- 4.92 ml vanilla

Frosting
- 6 egg yolks
- 177.44 ml sugar
- 177.44 ml cream
- chopped nuts
directions
- Cake: Sift flour and sugar together 3 times, add boiling water and let stand overnight.
- In the morning beat the egg whites, salt, and cream of tarter.
- When stiff add baking powder and vanilla.
- Add to overnight batter.
- Fold into prepared 9x13 pan, bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
- Frosting: Cook ingredients in double boiler until thick.
- Frost cake and sprinkle with nuts.
