hat kind of southern girl would I be if I hadn't posted this recipe. It;s one of my husband's favorite dishes and we make it so much that my tomato plants scarcely ripen


  1. Mix Bacon drippings and peanut oil and heat until sizzling.
  2. mix milk, buttermilk and 1 egg and dip sliced tomatoes in mixture.
  3. Mix flour and cornmeal and seasonings and dip tomatoes in flour.
  4. coat toamtoes with panko and fry 2 minutes on each side.
  5. drain on paper towels.
