Fettuccine with Tomato Clam Sauce

- 8 sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 cup onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 can whole clam (including the juice)
- 1⁄2 cup chicken broth
- 1⁄2 cup tomato paste
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1⁄8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 ounces cooked fettuccine pasta
directions
- Soak tomatoes in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Drain and puree.
- Heat oil, add onion and garlic – cook 5 minutes.
- Add remaining clam juice, broth, tomato paste and spices.
- Bring to boil and simmer 15 minutes.
- Add clams.
