2 8" round cakes
ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon chocolate extract
- 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease and flour 2 8' round cake pans. Line bottom of pan with parchment paper if desired.
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Add wet ingredients. Mix until moist and well blended.
- Pour batter into prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until cake springs back when gently touched.
- Cool and frost as desired.
