- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup coconut
- 18 1⁄4 ounces German chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 1⁄3 cups oil
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
directions
- Grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan.
- Beginning with pecans, sprinkle pecans and coconut on bottom of pan.
- Mix cake according to package directions; pour into pan.
- Mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto cake.
- Bake at 350 for approx 50 minutes.
- Cake will crack open when done.
