  1. I loved this recipe, but made a few quick changes. I used 1.25 lbs sweet italian turkey sausage, a full lb of pasta (cellitini). For the peppers, I added 1 cup bottled roasted red peppers, diced. So, I pretty much doubled the meat and pasta but I kept the cream the same. Sauce was thin but I let the pasta sit for 5 minutes in the sauce and it got thicker. For the peppers, I added 1 cup bottled roasted red peppers, diced. <br/>:) Will make again! Recipe could definitely stretch to 5 or 6 people with the full lb of pasta.

  2. Very delicious meal! I used hot italian sausage, added a clove of garlic and a bit of cream cheese to help thicken, as another review suggested. I popped it into the oven for about 15 minutes and it came out divine. Thanks for the recipe, Marie.

  3. Very good. Doubled the recipe since we have a large family. Thought it could have used a little garlic, so added about 1/2 teaspoon (to the doubled recipe) at the end. The sauce was a little on the thin side, so added a few tablespoons of cream cheese to thicken it up. Thank you, Marie!

  4. I'm not giving this a star rating as I haven't tried this recipe. I found my copy of this recipe in Light & Tasty magazine. My copy of this recipe is slightly different. It calls for 4 1/2 tsp Olive Oil, 1 1/2 tsp butter or margarine, 1/2 c dry white wine or chicken broth, 1/2 c grated romano cheese. The rest is the same. The copy I have says it serves 6. Each serving is 1 cup. There's a lightened up version calling for 3/4 pound turkey italian sausage, 1 tbl all purpose flour, 1 c milk, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp paprika, and 1 tbl minced fresh parsley. No olive oil, no butter, no heavy cream. Otherwise the same. Diabetic Exchanges: for the lightened version is 2 starch, 2 lean meat, 1 fat, 1/2 reduced fat milk. Thanks for posting what sounds like a yummy recipe! I hope to try your recipe soon. Christine (internetnut)

  5. This was really tastey. Even though it is not heart-healthy, we will have it often.
