Creamy Coleslaw

I love cole slaw and this is my favorite recipe. It's a year round staple in my house. I got this from Quick Cooking magazine. I added onion and celery to the original recipe.

• Cook Time: 0 mins

Ingredients:

Servings: 6

• ¾ cup mayonnaise
• 1⁄3; cup sour cream
• ¼ cup sugar
• ¾ teaspoon season All salt
• ½ teaspoon ground mustard
• ¼ teaspoon celery salt
• 1 (16 ounce) bag coleslaw mix
• ¼ cup chopped red onion
• ¼ cup chopped celery

Directions:

1. Place cole slaw mix, onion and celery in a large bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over vegetables. Mix together and refrigerate until serving.

Although I'm not so big on the 'creamy' part of coleslaw, I did use all of the dressing ingredients, then started out by adding just 2/3 of that dressing! Oddly enough, my other half convinced me to include it all, & it WAS great! Thanks, much for sharing this wonderful recipe! Made for Spring PAC 2011 and followed the directions except for cutting it in half...very yummy! DD took the recipe home to make for her friends...she loved the celery in it. Thank you!

This is a great recipe! The onion and celery are very nice touches. I liked the flavor of the dressing and it was indeed very creamy. Thanks for sharing a true keeper. Made for PAC 2011.
