Makes 1 gallon.
- 9 cups milk
- 1 1⁄2 pints half-and-half cream
- 2 1⁄4 cups sugar
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip
- 3 tablespoons vanilla
- salt, pinch
- Mix all together and beat well. Pour into 1 gallon freezer and freeze. More milk may be added to fill freezer. Add any king of well-drained fruit or chocolate candy, grated.
Umm, Raw eggs...no thanks. Did I miss the cooking part? Just leave out the Cool Whip & cook the rest in a pan until it coats the back of a spoon. Thats real custard to make ice cream with.

I made this for Memorial Day and everyone loved this creamy ice cream. They all thought it tasted like Dairy Queens. I just left it as a vanilla ice. Wasn't to difficult to prepare. Thanks Kymmarie Bullwinkle
