Cookies

"The name is straight to the point....LOL. My grandmother has been making these cookies all my life. We have always just called them cookies. The rice krispies in these really give the cookies some crunch. The recipe I got from G'ma said on the bottom that you could add chocolate chips but I've never done that. If you try that you will have to let me know how that tastes."

  1. Wonderful cookies! Only thing I did differant is instead of margarine I used butter and since my family doesn't like nuts in cookies replaced them and the coconut with 1 cup milk choc chips. WONDERFL!

  2. This is the best cookie recipe that a person could try and enjoy sooo much... it is soft and chewy ; I added skors to it and that sure made a great tasting cookie.....

  3. I made with butter instead of margarine and replaced the nuts and coconut with Ghirardhelli milk chocolate chips. They reminded us of a Crunch Chocolate bar. I sent some to my husbands office and they all loved them, they dissapeared in no time.

  4. These are AWESOME! I didn't have rice crispies, so I used Special K. I like my cookies nutty (and kooky) so I used 1/2 cup. YUM! LOVED it!!

  5. I tried your cookies the other day, and I could have just eaten the dough it was so good. I didn't have but almost a cup of rice krispies so for the rest of the cup or so, I put in Multigrain Cheerios in them. I also used real butter instead of margerine as it gives my family heartburn. I will continue to use your recipe and may add the chocolate chips in it. Very good and thanks for sharing your recipe! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Family.
