Not sure why it says "return to double boiler" if it never mentioned the double boiler previously. I will hopefully be able to edit this to make it more accurate after I try all these recipes.

  1. Add sugar, cornstarch, and salt to beaten egg yolks.
  2. Pour the scalded milk into this; return to double boiler, stir and cook until thickened.
  3. Add butter, coconut, and vanilla.
  4. Pour into a pie tin lined with pastry. Bake.
  5. Cover with meringue.
