My mom's chili recipe, not too spicy.

  1. In a large covered pot, brown the beef and onion.
  2. Drain grease, if needed, and return to pot.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and stir.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
  5. Simmer, covered, for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. If needed, thicken with cornstarch mixed with the same amount of water, adding a little at a time and stirring thoroughly after each addition, until desired consistency is reached.
