Cherry Turkey Burgers

This recipe sounded a bit different, but it turned out really nice. Even DH, who was skeptical, enjoyed it. I got the recipe from a local market called Westborn. These were very easy to prepare.

  1. In a large bowl mix all ingredients up to salt and pepper and form into four patties.
  2. Grill and serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.

Hi Jenny, I loved these burgers and made them as directed. I also found the mixture to be very moist and had to double the bread crumbs. Next time I'll use one egg and see if that solves the problem. I took photos, but FLKeysJen's are better! Thanks for posting!

A very good turkey burger. I soaked my cherries in a little red wine I had handy. Perhaps for this reason, I feltmy mix was quite moist, and so I used only a single egg. I panfried a couple of small patties to eat on small ciabatta rolls. The rest of the mixture was made into meatballs and cooked according to the method I described in this recipe, Recipe #448230, which I use a lot for all kinds of meatballs. Looking forward to the meatballs tomorrow for lunch!

Loved these! I used turkey breast and they still weren't too dry, even without any kind of sauce on the burger. The parsley and sour cherries are a good combo. By mistake I bought dried cherries with pits and it was a tedious process to remove them - just wanted to mention this so others don't make the same mistake!
