- 4 slice French bread (1/2-inch thick) or 4 slice baguette, cut diagonally (1/2-inch thick)
- 29.58-44.37 ml unsalted butter, softened
- 2.46-4.92 ml garlic, minced
- 0.25 ml paprika
- 59.14-78.78 ml swiss cheese, grated
- 14.79-29.58 ml parmesan cheese, grated
directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Combine butter, garlic, and paprika; spread on both sides of each slice of bread.
- Place bread on a baking sheet.
- Combine cheeses and sprinkle evenly over butter.
- Bake until bread is crisp and cheese is bubbly, about 10 minutes.

OH MY MY!! This is SOOOO good. I could eat only this garlic cheese bread for a meal and be happy!! Comparable, yet way better than the ones you can buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. Everyone loved it. I finally know how to make a perfect garlic bread. I made it on sliced in half Francisco Sandwich bread and the chewy consistency of the bread made it even better!!

It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
