Sauce
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup water

Dumplings
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- add enough milk, to make soft dough
directions
- Heat berries and spices.
- Boil gently and cook down.
- Drop dumplings by spoons in hot berry sauce.
- Cover and cook 15 minutes.
- To serve: spoon out biscuits and pour sauce over.
