Directions

  1. Cook water, beer, currants and flour.
  2. Cook milk separately, take both mixtures off fire and mix.
  3. Add egg yolk and stir.
  4. Add a little cinnamon (some prefer nutmeg).
  5. Put croutons in soup bowl and pour soup over.
  6. Let stand for a while.
