Very good and hearty soup.

  1. In large skillet, brown ground beef, green pepper, onion and garlic, drain.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring to boil; reduce heat.
  4. Cover and simmer 50-60 minutes or until barley is tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. About 6 (1 cup) servings.
