ingredients
- 354.88 ml buckwheat flour
- 354.88 ml flour (I use whole wheat)
- 19.71 ml baking powder
- 7.39 ml baking soda
- 4.92 ml salt
- 59.16 ml sugar
- 6 eggs
- 709.77 ml buttermilk
- 236.59 ml melted and cooled butter
directions
- Pre heat waffle iron.
- Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Beat eggs, buttermilk, and butter till well combined.
- Add to the dry ingredients just till blended.
- Cook in a pan sprayed waffle iron till crisp and brown.
- Serve w/ warm maple syrup and fresh strawberries.

This is what I was looking for. I made a half recipe and got 6 1/2 waffles. The recipe uses a lot of butter, more then I want to use so the only thing I did different was to omit the butter and sub a tablespoon of walnut oil (that's for a half recipe). They came out light, fluffy and tender. Very nice flavor too. 100% buckwheat makes a very dry waffle so I highly recommend this recipe.

This is a good recipe. I've done it 3 times already. Since it's only me and DW, I only do 1/3 the amount. We are satisfied, and there is a little left over just in case. The last time I only used 1 egg, although 1/3 the recipe would call for 2, since I really hate the taste of egg. They turned out great.
