Barbecue Meatballs and Rice

So yummy, these are addicting. A family tried and true favorite. I make a ton of these meatballs and freeze them. I serve these with rice. My family gobbles this up and I bet yours will too.

This was quite the surprise recipe! We loved it! I did use sugar twin brown sugar as I live with a diebetic but I don't think it hurt the taste at all...Made for PAC Fall 09.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Mix the beef, milk, oats, pepper, garlic powder, egg, chopped onion, salt and chili powder together.
  2. Form into 1 inch balls. (I use my cookie scoop-like a small ice cream scoop).
  3. Place in 9 x 13 pan.
  4. Mix the ketchup, tomato sauce,brown sugar and liquid smoke together.
  5. Pour over meatballs.
  6. Cover pan with foil.
  7. Cook for 45 minutes in a 350 oven.
  8. Take the foil off and cook 15 minutes longer.
  9. Serve with rice.
