  1. Brown chopped vegetables in skillet.
  2. Add hamburger.
  3. When hamburger is browned add rest of ingredients.
  4. Simmer 30 minutes.
  5. Serve on hamburger buns.

Everyone enjoyed this 'meal on a bun' The recipe made as posted pleased both the adults and the younger members. Set out marinated onions, pickles and shredded lettuce which went over very well! Thank you and thank your sister for sharing a recipe that is going into my keepers.

This was great! I followed the recipe exact except that I added some garlic powder and left out the Tabasco (don't like heat). Served on buns with slices of American cheese. Will definitely make again! Thanks for a great recipe!! ~Manda

This is a *10 star recipe. I used ground turkey meat instead of hamburger, only because that is what I had on hand. But it didn't change a thing in my eyes cause it was absolutely wonderful, loved the flavor. I added alittle minced garlic to the veggies when browning, only because we love garlic in just about everything. This will be a regular in house from now on. I can't wait to try hamburger in the future to come. Thanks so much for sharing your sister's recipe, bullwinkle!! Its Great!!
