Baked Bananas With Cream Cheese

"This is great with low fat cream cheese as well. It is good over poundcake or shortbread cookies. I haven't made this yet but it sounds great!"

  • Cut the bananas in half and gently brown in butter over moderate heat. Cream together the cream cheese, sugars, rum and cinnamon until smooth.
  • Layer browned bananas and cream mixture in a greased 8x8 inch baking dish. Pour the havy cream over all and bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

  1. When making this I did use a rum extract instead of the real thing, but other than that, the recipe was made as given, & the baked bananas were so delicious! I had just baked a small pie crust that had kind of messed up (or rather I'd messed it up!) so I crumbled it & topped a couple of servings of the baked bananas with that ~ Rustic, but very nice!
