"I found this recipe in the newspaper and added Granny Smith Apples to it and increased the raisin amount, mmmm comfort food."

ingredients

• Coffee Cake

• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup pecans
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 1 cup raisins
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 tablespoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄2 cup soft margarine
• 3 cups granny smith apples
• 2 cups whole wheat flour

• Frosting

• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
• 1⁄4 cup margarine
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 (1 lb) box confectioners' sugar

directions

1. Cake:

2. Cream together sugar, margarine, eggs, vanilla and sour cream. Add the apples, raisins and pecans mix together then add all the dry ingredients and mix well and pour int a tube or bundt pan and bake in a 350 oven for 50 minutes or until the knife test comes out clean.

4. Cream together room temperature cream cheese and margarine, add vanilla and confectioners sugar mix and frost a cooled coffee cake.
