ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 lb fresh green beans, cut into 2 inch pieces
- 1⁄4 cup chicken broth
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- black pepper (to taste)
directions
- Heat oil in large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add sesame seeds. When seeds start to darken, stir in green beans. Cook, stirring until the beans turn bright green. (I never notice a "bright green" color, I just cook about 10 minutes or so.).
- Pour in chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook until beans are tender-crisp, about 10 minutes. (I like mine much more done -- about 30 minutes!) Uncover and cook until liquid evaporates. You can serve these hot like normal, but I even like these babies cold! ;-).

5 stars, I used only the chicken stock and no olive oil to make this even healthier. It's great! very tasty and so easy, I drained them well and then added the toasted sesame seeds and the flavour jumps out at you. Please see my rating system: for such a simple recipe that can be made so heathily, with so little, for tons of flavour, it ticks ALL the right boxes. Therefore a wonderful 5 stars. Thanks!
