The Devil in Red Velvet Cookies

"Devil's Food cookies with a hint of cherry. Super easy and super cheap!"

• Yields: 24-36 cookies

ingredients

• 1 (18 ounce) box devil's food cake mix
• 1 (3 ounce) box cherry Jell-O, divided
• 1⁄3 cup oil
• 2 eggs
• 2 -4 tablespoons sugar, granulated or powdered

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease or spray cookie sheets.
3. Combine sugar and 1/4 jello powder. Set aside.
4. Combine cake mix, oil, eggs, remaining 3/4 jello powder. Dough will be stiff.
5. Form into balls and roll on all sides in sugar mixture.
6. Bake 12- 15 minutes.

The flavor was a nice change from the regular. But after the cookies cooled they were really hard.
