directions

  • mix together, egg, milk, bread crumbs, onion, salt and Worcestershire sauce.
  • crumble beef over mixture.
  • mix well.
  • shape into 1 1/2 inch balls.
  • in a skillet, cook meatballs until no longer pink, turning often.
  • remove and set aside.
  • drain.
  • for sauce, combine brown sugar and cornstarch in a skillet.
  • stir in pineapple with juice, vinegar and soy sauce.
  • bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • reduce heat.
  • cover and simmer for about 10 minutes or until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.
  • add pepper.
  • cover and simmer until tender, about 5 minutes.
  • return neatballs to skillet and heat through.

  1. My DD wanted some meatballs with mashed potatoes and cream corn. So I chose this recipe to try. She loved them and so did I. Very tasty meatballs and very quick to put together. I had used a red pepper and not green only because of preference. I simmered the peppers with the sauce for the whole time of 15 minutes, then added meatballs for another 10 minutes on low simmer. A very delicious sauce that is not overly sweet. I will make this again. Thanks for your recipe taillights.
