- 2 egg whites
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 1⁄2 - 4 cups shelled pecan halves
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
directions
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Add salt and sugar and continue beating until very stiff.
- Fold in pecan halves.
- Melt margarine in a 9X13 Pyrex dish.
- Pour margarine over nut mixture and fold together.
- Pour back into Pyrex dish.
- Bake in oven at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Stir and turn nuts over every 10 minutes.
- Let cool and break apart.
