  • Beat egg whites until stiff.
  • Add salt and sugar and continue beating until very stiff.
  • Fold in pecan halves.
  • Melt margarine in a 9X13 Pyrex dish.
  • Pour margarine over nut mixture and fold together.
  • Pour back into Pyrex dish.
  • Bake in oven at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Stir and turn nuts over every 10 minutes.
  • Let cool and break apart.
