"This is from the movie "Steel Magnolias'. It is a moist, rich dessert cake"

• Serves: 8

ingredients

• 1 cup fruit cocktail in heavy syrup
• 1 cup self rising flour
• 1 cup white sugar (or 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar)

directions

1. Mix ingredients and bake in 8" square pan at 350 degrees until golden brown and bubbly.
2. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Just like the recipe says "moist and rich", but left out "delicious" which it is. I used the whole can (16oz) of fruit cocktail, which probably made it even better. Thank you for this lowfat recipe... Tina Day
