  • Saute the onion and garlic in oil until soft. Stir in tomatoes, salt, pepper, and sugar. Simmer sauce, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Set aside.
  • While sauce is simmering, trim any unwanted fat from the steak and score remaining fat edge every inch. Sprinkle meat with tenderizer.
  • Pan broil the steak in a large skillet, turning once and cooking for 5 minutes on each side or until steak is cooked as you like.
  • Place steak on cutting board and carve into thin slices. Return to skillet. Add tomato sauce and simmer for about 3 minutes to blend flavors.
