- 1 lb fettuccine
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup whipping cream or 1 cup half-and-half cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- grated parmesan cheese
- salt
- fresh ground pepper
- chopped parsley (optional)
directions
- Cook fettuccine until tender and drain.
- Combine sour cream, whipping cream and butter in a saucepan.
- Heat but do not boil.
- Add Parmesan cheese and season to taste with salt & pepper.
- pour sauce over fettuccine and toss.
- sprinkle with additional cheese and chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve at once.

I added 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese and one cup of regular as the recipe was vague on the amount of Parmesan. Certainly a very quick and easy recipe but lacked a death of flavors. Could of used some caramelized onion or bacon to make it more interesting and hopefully neutralize some of the richness. Kids complained the flavor wasn't what they were used to then ate it all, so was still very successful.
