Sour Cream Burgers

This is a recipe I grabbed when I was raiding my mother's recipe books when I was visiting home. It comes from a Betty Crocker booklet called 'Fast Summer Suppers'

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 cup sour cream
- 1⁄4 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons onion soup mix
- 4 English muffins, split and toasted
directions
- Set oven control to broil.
- Mix all ingredients except the English muffins.
- Shape into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick.
- Place patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil with tops about 3 inches from heat 5 to 7 minutes on each side or a bit longer if you want them well done.
- Serve on English muffins.

Made this 2 nights ago and fam is still talking about it... I used extra sour cream and bread crumbs. Even my picky 7 yr old asked for seconds and that NEVER happens! And the recipe is so simple, I don't usually cook so when I say simple I mean it. We loved the english muffins, next time we want to try it with bacon on top too:) Thanks!Reply
