Smoked Turkey And Corn Chowder

ingredients
- 6 ounces smoked turkey breast, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 1 large potato, diced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1⁄4 cup green chili, mild,chopped (canned)
- 1 lb corn (frozen)
- 1⁄2 cup cream
- salt and pepper
directions
- Place all ingredients (except cream) in a soup pot.
- Slowly bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables are soft (about 1 hour).
- Whisk in the cream and simmer for 20 minutes longer.
- Serve warm.

This is my kinda comfort food. Had a large hickory smoked turkey to use up, so I almost doubled the turkey amount. I also added carrot, and used a can of cream style corn instead of the frozen corn. I did not have cream, so used 1/2 cup milk and a few tablespoons of non-fat cream cheese. Didn't need anything but a few dashes of black pepper. Thanks a bunch!
