Slow Cooker Steak Fajitas

"From Walmart edition of Rival Crockpot recipe book that came with my crockpot. Couldn't find fresh cilantro, so used 1 Tbsp. dried. Served with salsa, shredded cheese & sour cream. Whole family loved it!!! Will definitely make again, perhaps using chicken next time. ;)"

  1. Mine was a little spicy i liked it. I cooked half a bag of black beans on stove for couple hours then added them to the crock pot the last hour don't need to put water in just beans . I used La Victoria salsa verde in mine medium. I used tongs to serve that way you dont get all the juices .. It is stew like . But Delicious!

  2. This had a different taste than I had expected. For us, the flavor was more like pot roast or beef stew than a fajita. Also, by serving time the steak strips had completely fallen apart which made for a very messy dinner. I also felt like this was an expensive meal, but maybe that's just because we didn't care for it. I don't plan on making this again. Better luck to others!

  3. Made these for the PAC contest and we really enjoyed them. I used the beef this time and may, as suggested, use chicken next time. Dave really liked the beef version. The flavor was right on for us and the meat was fork tender. There was a lot of liquid in this but that could have been from the added salsa, which was my homemade. I will definitely make these again in the future. thanks for sharing.

  4. Really liked this, but it was very watery. Not sure how to avoid that, but made for some pretty messy fajitas. The flavors couldn't have been better though!

  5. Good easy recipe and great flavor. I follwed the recipe using slightly less salsa. There was a LOT of "juice" in the final product, not sure where it all came from. Topped with cheese.
