Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 3 cups diced rhubarb
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup oatmeal
directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix white sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, strawberries and rhubarb. Place the mixture in a 9 x 13" baking dish.
- Mix 1-1/2 cups flour, brown sugar, butter and oatmeal until crumbly. (You may want to use a pastry blender for this or fork) Crumble on top of the rhubarb and strawberry mixture.
- Bake 45 minutes in oven or until crisp and lightly browned.

This was perfect. I used frozen rhubarb and fresh strawberries - YUM! I ended up halving the crisp ingredients and using the full amount of fruit called for, because I like more fruit than crisp. Next time I'll try cutting the sugar by 1/4 cup to see how that affects the flavor. Thanks for a keeper ! My friend who shared this with me almost took the pan of leftovers.

I love to do Counted Cross Stitch, Knit, flower gardening, cooking and spending lots of time with my grandchildren. Hence the name Nana in the woods. I live in Northern Mn and the grandkids call me NaNa. The picture is of the deer that come to visit us on a daily basis due to the fact we feed them in the winter months. Oh yah I forgot to mention I'm also an animal lover.
