Pumpkin Pie Spice Bread

- 2 cups canned pumpkin
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce (I use two single serve cups)
- 4 eggs
- 3 1⁄3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons pumpkin spice
directions
- Heat oven to 350.
- Mix together pumpkin, sugar, water, applesauce and eggs.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and pumpkin spice.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, beating until smooth.
- Split the batter between two 5x9 greased bread pans.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool for 10-15 minutes, then remove from pans by inverting onto a rack and tapping the bottoms.
