- Combine sugar, corn syrup, water, butter, and salt in a saucepan.
- Cook over medium-high heat to hard ball stage.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Pour over popcorn.
- When cool enough to handle, form into balls with buttered hands.

These are THE perfect Old Fashioned "stick to your teeth" popcorn balls that I had when I was a kid !! I made 2 batches and passed them around to friends and some elderly neighbors !! EVERYONE went wild for them ! I did add 1 Tbs. of cider vinegar to the sugar and syrup, wich added just the right flavor !! AWESOME !!! Five stars all the way !!
