Crust
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 6 ounces cream cheese

Filling
- 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
directions
- Mix crust ingredients together and press into tart tins.
- Mix filling ingredients together and spoon into tart shells.
- Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

truly excellent - I made them in a muffin tin and they worked out fine. The crust ended up being a bit too thick, but I think that was my doing. In any event, a tasty crust, having the cream cheese, etc. everybody raved - said it tasted just like 'the real thing' in spite of no corn syrup - I may try to make a big pie with this filing recipe, see how it goes.
