Pecan Chocolate Candy

- 1 1⁄2 cups real butter (no substitutions)
- 5 tablespoons water
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 8 ounces hersey chocolate bars
- 3 cups pecans (chopped, not fine)
directions
- First, chop the pecans and put aside.
- Second, prepare a cookie sheet with Pam, spread 3/4 of the nuts on it.
- Now, melt the first 3 ingredients in heavy saucepan (med-high heat), stir constantly (takes about 20-30 min). Use a candy thermometer, stir until candy is @ hard crack stage-300, then pour hot candy mixture over pecans on cookie sheet. Break up Hersey bar pieces, place on hot candy/pecan mixture, chocolate will melt, spread with spatula and top with rest of pecans. Cool and chop into squares.
